Dear Editor:
This is the letter I sent to my congressmen. As one of your constituents, I am asking you both to make sure the president has a fair trial. That means listening to all the evidence and calling up all witnesses. What attorney would support any trial without doing this? The more that evidence and witnesses are squelched, the guiltier the president looks.
Get everything out in the open, which the American people deserves to hear. And don’t hide in the dark of night, which really looks suspicious; let your light shine! This all takes moral courage, which history will judge you on.
I am not a Democrat or Republican, but am non-partisan, which means that I judge each candidate on his/her record and vote for whomever adheres to my principles. Unfortunately, our country has been deeply divided into tribes, who will only support who their tribe tells them to. You took an oath to be fair and impartial, so don’t forget it!
I pray daily for you senators to hold a fair trial so future historians will not judge this impeachment process as biased. Let the truth be told.
