Dear Editor:
My response is very positive to Linda Wenzlick's criticism of Ms. Schnieders views. I have been personally criticized by Ms. Schnieders and finally she is taking the heat for her views. In other words, "If you dish it out, you've got to be able to take it."
I often wondered how Ms. Schnieders was so accurate in her very well-written articles. It's easy if you're reading off someone's else's writings. I was almost convinced that she was a retired lawyer of former government employee with all her vast knowledge of law and governmental statistics.
Now the truth to her knowledge is known and her views are finally exposed with articles from the "Red State" and other inflammatory sources of information. This exposure of where do you get your knowledge or view is an excellent point to be discussed. I personally, attempt to blend in my source of information to allow my written thoughts to encompass more than just my own point of view. Sometimes I'm successful, sometimes not. But that's my intent to explain that a political or personal view should be in a tone of "I'm not always right, but I'm not always wrong."
Recently, in today's News Tribune, I mentioned a Columbia newspaper as the reason for plane seating reform. Often, I'll mention a book (War of 1812) or a magazine (Time or Military History) as a source of information. Readers should know when a person writing a view, is in the majority their own words or not. Just passing information from the internet should be frowned upon. Especially like the "Red State" and other "Deep State" conspiracy sources.
