Dear Editor:
In response to J. Richard Smith’s “Will ‘socialism’ bashers cash the check?” opinion article. I am one who knows there is no such thing as “free stuff.” I also know the stimulus is not coming from a socialistic government but from our Democratic Republic government’s borrowed money, debt our descendants will inherit.
It is great that you contribute so much to the community. So my question is, am I a hypocrite to cash the check, who believes in and defends our government and Constitution or, is the person that cashes the check from our government while promoting socialism and free stuff the hypocrite?
Richard, while I do not agree with your opinion, I love you and pray you will turn from atheism to Jesus before it is too late. Jesus is our only hope, not socialism, Democrats, Republicans, liberals, conservatives …just Jesus!
