The following thoughts and questions about our COVID-19 situation need some attention and action.
Do you think our lack of awareness of current COVID-19 information in the county is due primarily to the lack of professional public health officials in monitoring, testing, tracing and isolating known COVID-19 patients?
Does the publicity of COVID-19 negatively impact this resort community?
Do you think there is pressure brought by community and resort officials to minimize the COVID-19 experience in Moore County?
Where is the priority of effort actually being practiced — improving health standards, financial well-being or political sensitivity?
This pandemic is not going to disappear overnight. In the absence of a vaccine, we can beat this challenge. However, we need leadership, enforcement of public health policies and individual/collective discipline.
