I feel seniors, and adults in general, have resorted back to grade school days by calling people names in public, or in private forums such as this newspaper. I’m guilty as well by calling Trump a buffoon. I’ve pondered on it, and recall it all starting when President Obama was running for the presidency, and even once he became president. They started calling him and his beautiful wife Michelle horrible names. Surely just because they are of African American decent. I still don’t understand why people are threatened by a color and by intelligence. Their own insecurities, I’m guessing. Trump pushed name-calling into high gear when he was running for the presidency, and once he became president, with Twitter being his main forum. He shamed our country by calling decorated war veterans, children and the disabled names. Making fun of them just like a bully grade-schooler would do. If we could only grow back up and act our age now that he is gone.
