The Gordon Library presents the first event in a new Discourse in Digital Scholarship With Purpose series.

On February 24, at 4:00PM EST, join Metadata Librarian Emily Ping O'Brien and Professor Emily Gioielli for our first conversation in "Discourse in Digital Scholarship with Purpose," where discuss positionality, methodologies, and questions that emerge from digital scholarship. Emily Ping O'Brien has recently completed her LEADING fellowship where she co-created the project, "Unlocking and Linking WWII Japanese American Incarceration Biographical Data: Social Network Analysis" which examined archival materials from Tule Lake Concentration Camp. Emily Gioielli is a Professor of History, Gender, Sexuality & Women's Studies and is a current Gerda Henkel Research Fellow at the Vienna Wiesenthal Institute for Holocaust Studies. Register for the event here.

In March, the series will discuss mapping Indigenous languages and lands with experts. For more information about Digital Scholarship With Purpose project and programming, please visit our LibGuide for Digital Scholarship and follow us on Twitter  and Instagram @wpi_dswp.
