Dear Editor,
A female NRA member was asked her opinion regarding the recent school shooting of 19 children and two adult teachers.
She was against restricting the owning of assault rifles to the public for this reason. "Guns don't kill, people kill."
Sounds reasonable perhaps to some gun owners, but let's use this theory on nuclear weapons.
"Nuclear weapons don't kill people, people kill people."
Sounds crazy? But keeping nuclear weapons out of the hands of Jihadists, terrorist nations and the like does make sense.
Rogue nations and suicidal people need to be watched closely and restricting those nations and individuals from weapons is essential to peace and harmony in the world.
