The Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning (CATL) invites instructors to bring their lunch and join the conversation to discuss a hot topic in teaching and learning!
The conversation will be held in Cofrin Library 405C with a virtual option via Zoom on Monday, October 31 from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm.
October’s conversation will explore the issue of classroom civility & how instructors can promote civil discourse in their classes.
This event is free and open to the public.
Attendees can register to receive a calendar reminder or drop in either in-person or virtually.
For those who’d like to prepare their thoughts before the meeting, you may find the Inside Higher Ed article, “The Challenges of Teaching Controversial Topics in a Divided Society,” a good starting point.
